HERMANSVILLE, MICH., OCT. 17, 2016 – Stewart Manufacturing will open doors to more than 60 students and staff of Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District on Friday, Oct. 21 at 9:30 a.m. EST., in celebration of Manufacturing DaySM. Students enrolled in machine tool and pre-engineering courses will be educated about Stewart Manufacturing and its medical division, American Instrument and Implant.

Planned activities involve a brief presentation, followed with a facility tour and group discussion to follow.

“Stewart Manufacturing is an industry leader in innovation and exponential growth, which makes it a perfect place to showcase how the manufacturing industry as a whole is evolving,” said manufacturing engineer, Andrew Fazer. “Bringing future employees closer to actual manufacturing operations not only helps them apply skills, but increases drive for personal improvements.”

Manufacturing Day is an annual national event executed at the local level supported by thousands of manufacturers as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.
